I still try and push the limit of my capabilities, adding longer workouts and 2 a days👍

The one thing that has allowed me to put more intensity into my workouts, recover quicker and constantly add weight to my bar, is my post workout shake👍

When you take the time to put in the work it takes its toll on the body.  Intense workouts burn through your glycogen stores and cause trauma to the muscles🤘

Post workout your body is primed for muscle growth, getting protein in soon after will greatly increase protein synthesis and reduce recovery time👊

Carbs are essential post workout  Because your body must replenish all muscle glycogen use during a workout and it will do this before anything else👍

This is why if you just take protein alone  You could be drinking away your gainz.  If you just have a protein shake post workout your body will 1st turn that protein into glucose to replace muscle glycogen and whatever's left will get used for muscle building. This is why adding a carb and protein post workout is optimal👍

The next important matter when it comes to post workout nutrition is the idea of speed. In this situation you want your carbohydrate and protein to reach the muscle as quickly as possible to start that recovery and repair process👍

When you eat that piece of chicken and bowl of rice or sweet potato it takes time.  It takes time to Digest delaying the vital nutrients your body needs in that post workout situation👍

So you're probably asking yourself how do I speed up the process what can I take so I can get into at post workout recovery so I build muscle and replace glycogen as quickly as possible🤙
