Pulldown é um exercício que atinge o dorsal com grande eficiência e pode ser a solução para pessoas que não estão obtendo bons resultados no treino de costas. 
Entenda.
Recrutar o dorsal em exercícios para costas é uma tarefa difícil para a maioria das pessoas.
A não ser que você já tenha um “dorsal dominante”, exercícios como remadas e puxadas acabam recrutando mais os braços e o meio das costas do que o próprio dorsal.
Isto é um problema já que o latíssimo do dorso é o principal músculo das costas e com mais influência no tamanho e largura desta região.
Por isso o pulldown é tão importante no treino.
A mecânica do exercício envolve fazer uma extensão do ombro trazendo o braço de cima para baixo.
Este movimento remove completamente a ação do bíceps e diminui a ação de outros músculos das costas, deixando a maior parte do trabalho para o dorsal.
Isto não é importante apenas para treinar o dorsal, e deixá-lo proporcional ao restante dos músculos, estudos mostram que ativar um músculo de forma isolada, pode amplificar a ativação do mesmo quando fazemos outros exercícios compostos.

Morning cardio 😎 405lbs/184kg for 13 reps. My all time best is 15 reps but that was also when I weighed 10-15lbs heavier than I am now.. Want to deadlift but it makes your back sore? Try the high-handle trap bar deadlift. The high-handles, neutral grip (palms facing towards each other), and fact that the weight is dispersed evenly around the body make it more spine friendly. Taller lifters might benefit from these too as deadlifting from the floor may be considered “excessive” in terms of range-of-motion. You can get great benefits from the trap bar with less back-pain. 
TB deads are also considered more transferable to sport since you’re in a more “athletic” position than a conventional deadlift would put you in.

Been doing these more regular lately by dropping the rack pulls out of rotation for a bit 📝

Did more speed work today, which I think I will alternate with the cues for technique between sessions. Felt loose mobility wise today which is good and I definitely prefer to roll the bar into myself when trying to shift more weight. Second set was literally cardio for me 😆 blowing out my arse after that 😫

The basic plank is simple: Assume a modified push-up position with your elbows bent 90 degrees and both forearms resting on the floor. Position your elbows directly underneath your shoulders and look straight toward the floor. This seated row machine is one of my favorites to use for working back. The handles are setup so you can use 3 different grips which work the muscles differently. It's an easy way to get more work while still doing the same basic exercise.

Don't be afraid to ask for help or guidance in the gym from someone. People are more than willing to help out and they are not judging that is just an excuse people make to get out off going to the gym. I used to make that excuse too. I look back now and think how silly that was. .
