The german summer was really short this year 😅 it’s getting autumnally already 🍂 And next week I am starting my journey to Prague. I am super excited to work and live in this city for the next three months. However I am a bit nerves of course and I will miss my loved ones but I am a positive girl so I think it will be a great adventure 🥰🌈

Here are some really terrible clips of my workout today 😛 & I have to fully admit it was not the best workout. I just could not get into it, I was stuck in my head, I felt self-conscious... even my music annoyed me 😑 just one of those days I guess. I really didn’t even want to post these but I want to maintain for myself & others that real life is not amazing videos of amazing workouts and feeling amazing all the time 🤷🏼‍♀️ so it doesn’t matter that it wasn’t a great workout - I still did it and I got my weights up and here I am 👏🏻

Don’t let the smile fool you - I am one tired gal pal today 😴 I had one of those nights that I used to have years ago.. the ones where I would get into bed at 10pm and not fall asleep until 2am because my anxiety keeps my mind going a million miles an hour. The one thing I can say is that I am happy that it’s exciting stress, rather than the stress I went through years ago. I’m in the midst of planning my hens weekend, my wedding and then my mini moon to follow - so I guess you can say there’s a lot going on 😂 I spent the entire day at work so I’m now going to run myself a nice hot shower, make some yummy dinner, watch my latest obsession of Teen Mom UK and get into bed earlier tonight. It may sound like a simple night, but sticking to a routine helps my anxiety immensely. Barbell back squat used to be my favorite compound exercise for my glutes, until I realized that sumo deadlifts & hip thrusts have helped my glutes grow more than this exercise. But, because there are a lot of yoga poses that I want to do that require quad strength, I need to barbell back squat harder again haha.

My point? Different exercises and workouts complement each other and mixing them up can provide better total body results for your body 💯

Ankle straps aren’t only used for your typical cable kickback…

Ankle straps can also assist in developing your upper body with a more direct engagement to the muscle being worked.

As you can see throughout each movement shown, I have the ankle strap attached to my wrist. This allows me to eliminate having to grip anything, sending almost direct tension into the deltoid without worrying about my grip slipping or forearm fatiguing. This helps me to lift heavier through my deltoid.

Now this ankle strap strategy can also be used with many other muscle groups and not just your deltoids. You can also shift the ankle straps to different points on your arms! So if you would like more variations with the ankle straps please DM me or like this post to show me that you’d like to see more!

When we exercise, our brain produces natural feel-good hormones called endorphins. These endorphins give us a natural high, increasing happy feelings and helping to change our mood to a positive outlook! That’s not all though. When we exercise, our body increases levels of serotonin, which is a natural chemical that results in an elevated, happier mood. As contradictory as it sounds, because we tend to think of getting tired from exercising, exercise will actually improve and increase your energy levels. exercise strengthens our circulation, your heart’s efficiency and your muscles while increasing the movement of your joints and the speed of your metabolism. As your body adapts, you’ll see energy your levels rise since you no longer have to work so hard to do everything.
So if you’re too tired to exercise, that’s exactly why you should be exercising.

LOSE WEIGHT WITHOUT COUNTING CALORIES 🤩
Some people find calorie counting daunting, some find it obsessive and some just can’t be fucked... Although everyone could learn A LOT from counting calories for some time, it’s not the be all end all, you can still achieve your goals without weighing your food 💪🏼🎉
Here are 4 easy ways to cut down on calories without having to count ✋🏼
Eat 50-75% of the portion you usually would. Simply eat less. If you usually order a large Big Mac combo, get a medium instead. Have 5 slices of pizza instead of the whole thing. It’s THAT easy 
Don’t drink your calories. Drinking calories is such a waste! Your hunger doesn’t get satisfied and now you’re 100 calories down too. Fuck. If you really need to keep fizzy and drinks in your life then drink DIETS/ZEROS. They are called that for a reason!! They don’t contain calories!! Party on.
Snack on high volume foods. Foods like fruit and veggies that contain little calories for big amounts. This way you can get really full for little calories meaning you don’t feel starving all the time. 
Always have veggies in your meal. Veggies will full you up and stop you from going overboard on the pasta or other higher calorie foods. Also a really good way to get in some vitamins and minerals and feel good about yourself 🍐🥒 - DM me with more questions or if you’re looking for a PT -

Some people find calorie counting daunting, some find it obsessive and some just can’t be fucked... Although everyone could learn A LOT from counting calories for some time, it’s not the be all end all, you can still achieve your goals without weighing your food 💪🏼🎉
Here are 4 easy ways to cut down on calories without having to count ✋🏼
Eat 50-75% of the portion you usually would. Simply eat less. If you usually order a large Big Mac combo, get a medium instead. Have 5 slices of pizza instead of the whole thing. It’s THAT easy
Don’t drink your calories. Drinking calories is such a waste! Your hunger doesn’t get satisfied and now you’re 100 calories down too. Fuck. If you really need to keep fizzy and drinks in your life then drink DIETS/ZEROS. They are called that for a reason!! They don’t contain calories!! Party on.
Snack on high volume foods. Foods like fruit and veggies that contain little calories for big amounts. This way you can get really full for little calories meaning you don’t feel starving all the time.

It is important. 
Isometric exercises are a great way to build strength, nurse injuries and also allow the person to spend time in a position that they need to get stronger in, such as the bottom of the dip, the top of a front raise, the mid way point of a bicep curl. 
In this case, Jordan is performing a weighted Good Morning hold. Why? Because this hold is promoting strength gains in the posterior chain. 
Thinking about the Good Morning exercise, it is a great accomodation to a deadlift, by holding the weight on your shoulders, it puts emphasis on proper form, keeping shoulders back, puffing chest out and hinging at the hips. 
Holding this spot, roughly halfway through the movement, can strengthen your deadlift in particular moments and also promotes a greater posture and teaches form for the movement.

If you are lifting the same weight or doing the same thing over and over without having to challenge your body! You will see yourself the same way. Challenging yourself is the best way to reaching goals not only in fitness but in everything.
