It marks my 1st powerlifting competition in China & my 2nd powerlifting comp ever. The sports is growing fast here in China. Tho I got the🥈 there are quite a lot much stronger guys in my class who did not attend, not even mentioning some real monsters in the making all across the weight classes. Got lucky this time lol. Anyway, met a lot new friends in the sports and am super excited about the next chapter in 🇨🇳powerlifting. Just hope I could find a way keep lifting some heavy ish bars & plates.

Which if you want to be a body builder is great

But if you don’t and you just sit at a desk all day but want to stay healthy, then is this the best way to train?

I’d argue not

Push day- Monday

Pull day- Tuesday

Legs- Wednesday

etc.

We’ve all seen this sort of layout

Whilst this will undoubtedly give you gains in strength and muscle if done correctly

And has it’s merits

It means, on most days of the week, you are neglecting and immobilising the majority of your body

And if you want your body to be functioning at it’s healthiest then that’s a bad idea

In my opinion (which is basically gospel)

We should be using and moving our whole body throughout the day including when we train

Lifting heavy stuff in an efficient way

Lifting some other stuff in a less efficient way

Holding our body weight

Spending time on the floor

Using our full range of movement

Elevating our heart rate

Moving through 360 degrees

Bending

Rotating

Using our bodies in all the different ways it was designed to be used

Not simply lifting the same weight up and down for 1, 2, 3….12 reps

Luckily for you I’m creating a monthly subscription that will allow people to access programs that entail all of this and more

Yes you’ll still lift weights and get strong

And can be used if vanity is the goal

It will just give you a more bulletproof body

And another monday comes, bringing a sneaky sleeve pb! 185kgs 400lbs for a comfortable single!👌🏻😍 followed by 165kgs x3, then 155kgs x4! All in all they moved and felt strong, so cant complain! Fatigue is building but were getting the work done! Bench volume 4x4 at 102.5kgs with pauses moving smooth!💪🏻 meanwhile BG rag dolling 180 across from me!😅 then a db pb with the 40kg babys!👏🏻👏🏻 good day!

つくづく思う.......胸トレは難しい
いつも同じ様にやってるつもりでも
筋肉痛がしっかり来る時もあれば

つくづく思う.......胸トレは難しい
いつも同じ様にやってるつもりでも
筋肉痛がしっかり来る時もあれば
大してこない時もある、やってる時は
しっかり効いてる感じがするのに、
あまり効いてない事もある

When your spotter tries to kill you - 140 kg 😎 + ??
If you have weak / unstable shoulders, sore elbows, weak wrists or are heavily reliant on wrist wraps then this may not be a safe exercise.

The advantage I get from this is a heavy negative and a lighter concentric contraction.
It also forces me to stay tight and my stabilizers have to work over time.
I also find my weak links doing this too - major win.
