CRAZY CORE WORKOUT (Don’t forget to SAVE and TAG a friend)

This is a slightly advanced core workout that will target ever area of the mid section. All you need is a band and sliders.
————
SWIPE LEFT FOR FULL WORKOUT:
Reverse Wood Chop - 2x10 (hold contraction)
Plank with Slider - 2x10 reps
Dragon Fly- 2x5 (w/ 5 second eccentric)
Banded Triple Crunch- 2x15 total crunches

Do each exercise for the listed reps then move on to the next. After one round, rest 60 seconds then repeat once more!

LEG WORKOUT

Heavy leg days are one of my favs 🤩 If you don’t like using the bar from the squat rack just use a dumbbell or barbell!

1️⃣banded hip thrust - 4x8 +1 AMRAP

2️⃣sumo deadlift - 4x5

3️⃣single leg hip thrust - 4x8 per side

4️⃣overhead press reverse lunge - 4x20 superset w/
5️⃣jump lunges - 4x20

6️⃣single leg hamstring extensions - 4x8 per side (let your upper body hang and lift with the back of your legs)

Happy Saturday! I'm currently sick at home with a dang summer cold. I havent been sick in years so I'm trying not to be too dramatic 😂 So heres a video from another day with an AB CIRCUIT! This one had me sore for a couple days to be honest, it hurt to laugh! I paired this with a shoulder workout too. Heres the breakdown: ♡ Russian Twists- Go slow to feel the burn!
♡ Alternating Knee and Toe Taps- Elbow to knee then fingers to toe on same side then switch!
♡ Leg Raise with twist- Work your lower abs with this one!
♡ Weighted Crunch- Start with weight above knees, lower weight above your head and drop legs down so your heels tap the floor then crunch back into starting position.
♡ Plank Pull Through- High plank position, pull a weight back and forth with alternating arms. Really engage your core here! 
Thats it! Repeat as many times as youd like, I did it all 3 times. 
Enjoy the weekend! If you skip a workout or have a high calorie meal remember, DONT BEAT YOURSELF UP! Drink water, move your body, and make the next best choice. You are enough as you are today. You don't need to be making constant strides to your goals to feel good about yourself ❤

When folks go on crash diets, do tons of cardio, and high rep "toning" or "burning" workouts...

It creates the perfect storm for fat AND muscle loss, which ends up creating the "skinny fat" look when they hit their goal weight 😞
⠀
They are skinnier and lighter but lack the shape and definition…
⠀
If one is eating too much and lifting weights, the “bulky” look is simply a matter of excess body fat 😅
⠀
Training with heavier weights for strength will develop the actual muscle — the burn is no real measure of progress or muscle growth 😮
⠀
What’s more, if the goal (especially for women) is to add muscle without excess size, I would say to stop 1 or 2 reps before failure. ⠀
⠀
Pushing the muscle past failure and fatiguing the muscle is an efficient way to add size (both methods have their place based on your goals)…
⠀
Aim to get stronger, while avoiding failure (for easier progression), to build a more firm, dense looking muscle 😌
⠀
Cardio can still be used strategically, but it shouldn’t be overdone. 2-3 sessions per week is really all it takes, given nutrition is the main driver of fat loss 👍
⠀
Fat loss is a steady game of consistency — you shouldn’t go below a 25% calorie deficit from maintenance. Beyond that, your training will begin to suffer, and it’s not sustainable for the long-term 💯

Cardio can still be used strategically, but it shouldn’t be overdone. 2-3 sessions per week is really all it takes, given nutrition is the main driver of fat loss 👍

Fat loss is a steady game of consistency — you shouldn’t go below a 25% calorie deficit from maintenance. Beyond that, your training will begin to suffer, and it’s not sustainable for the long-term 💯

A circuit for hamstrings and back... - the first one is a modification to single leg deadlifts where you use your back leg as a kickstand for balance.  Hold the kettlebell in both hands and use your hips to lift and lower.  Be sure to keep your core strong and lower your head as you descend.
- sumo deadlift / high pull... wide legs, toes pointed out and again push your butt back as you hinge at the hips.  Keep your elbows high as you raise the kettlebell
- straight arm raises .. bend forward slightly and pause at the bottom of the movement so you aren’t using momentum.  Try not to swing and keep your back neutral. - last movement is for your upper back and back of your shoulders ... collapse at the hips and pull with your upper back and shoulders with straight arms.  Try not to arch your back as you pull up. 
Do 15 reps of each exercise for 3 rounds!

Every once and awhile you sometimes have 2 readjust course!! Fail 2 get it right, learn what works and what doesn’t! It’s ok.... you don’t quit, you keep pushing because in those moments when all seems lost..... you’re about to experience a level up moment!
