You can be anything you put your mind to. Even a Mutant if you get the right swag and join the right team. Ha ha.
In all seriousness, it’s been roughly 25 years since I picked up a weight. I first started with my own little York weight set in my parents basement.
I was 6 foot 1 inches tall. 15 years old and maybe 165 pounds. Im now 65 pounds heavier and possibly leaner.
I’ve always loved the idea of using food as a fuel source. I’ve always been somewhat of an athlete. Bordering somewhere between average and elite.
My self fulfilling prophecy has been to fall into the trap of bad food, excuses and some form of alcohol or tobacco. My family has a history of very poor health but I’d argue lifestyle choices over genetics any day.
It’s really not that hard. I’ve got a busy life and I seem to keep adding to the pile. Put the TV remote down. Stop buying shit food. Get up a little earlier and make positive life changes.
I’m no super model, or social media super star. I live a real life with real responsibilities.
There is no secret. Start now. Make small changes each week. Stay consistent.
Don’t try to be a hero over night. Baby steps. Just like the turtle vs the hair. There is no race.
I know you can do it.
I battled self esteem issues. I battled doubt. I battled my own genetics and I battled all the other urges and excuses you can make.
Make health a priority. I promise you won’t regret it.
Worst case scenario. You’ll have better social media. 😂
