What a beautiful day down on the farm the weather is like spring...here is todays variety of egg collection with our first ever whopper goose egg, then a turkey, then a chook, then a bantam....the goose egg doesnt look that big in this photo but its huge...now just need the ducks to start laying.
These days I am out there at 7am in the morning for milking...I have 19 goats I am milking by hand so that I can bottle feed all the babies to make sure they all stay lovely and friendly for all our visitors...
So you may not want to be out there in the morning milking but maybe you will love the bottle feedingthat comes after and is done 3 times a day.
It's sad to say we are still full time feeding due to no rain here for a while...check out the photos of our best paddock, looking at it from a distance you might think 'they have grass its all so green' but the sad truth is we are back in a 'green drought' as the second close up photo shows how small and short the grasses are...gee we hope for rain this spring....
In the meantime we SO appreciate your visits to our farm whether its a night stay over or a Day Visit, your payment to come here is helping feed our animals...so please gather your family and friends and come and enjoy a day on the farm with our lovely animals.
