Just to inform any people who are too afraid to ask or new followers who are just curious, here is a bit about my service dog and I. ❤️
I am Carolina, an 18 yr old with invisible disabilities that often are misunderstood. I have hypertension, potassium deficiency, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, attention deficit disorder, polycystic ovarian syndrome, chronic pain, and many more things.
My service dog, Obsidian, helps me manage all of my medical issues each and every day.
Obsidian is a Medical Alert/Response, Guide Work, Psychiatric Service Dog. Or, to simplify, he is a Multipurpose Service Dog.
He is trained to alert to whenever my blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugar, or potassium fluctuate. He is trained to guide me whenever I have a dizzy spell and need to continue moving forward or if I need to get out of an overly stressful or unsafe situation. He is trained to alert to upcoming panic and anxiety attacks and help me either avoid them or help lessen the blow of the attack. He is trained to do many more alerts and tasks but those are the things he does nearly everyday.
I hope this may have cleared up anything anyone may have been curious about.
