PREGNANCY 🤰 & EXERCISE 🏋️♀️ This pregnancy was always going to be unchartered territory, given my terror wrought, pre-natal anxiety riddled first pregnancy, I’ve mindfully entered this one and with as much advice taken as I feel appropriate. I have dreaded a #mentalhealth relapse.
But 20 weeks in and so far so good. In fact, better than good...I’ve approached it & done SO much differently this time and I’m feeling GREAT. I know a lot of mamas who relate to my terrible time feel just as fearful as I did about doing it all again.
A huge part of enjoying this pregnancy has been due to listening to the midwife about exercising, and practicing what I preach as a mental health practitioner.
Now absolutely check with your doc that it’s safe for you to do, but in stark contrast to last time me doing bugger all for fear of hurting the baby (myth - that was the anxiety disorder raging), this time I’m exercising sensibly - following pregnancy workout plans - and frequently. It’s great for your physical health obvs, but does wonders for the noggin too.
