INHALE to prepare for you lift.  A deep breath into you lungs, not just into you mouth.

Kicked off the start of my new 100 day workout with a 3 day refresh, so my timeline is 7/26 to today, 8/18/19 (23 days total!). I completed the first 20 workouts which is phase 1. I am feeling really good!

Thinking back, I am so glad that I took a chance on myself.  I made a decision that has impacted my life every day since.

A decision that minimized anxiety. It took away the fear I constantly felt in my life. It helped ease my decisions to cut ties with toxic people. -
When I think about my past and what’s gotten me to here, it makes me proud. 😊 When you overcome obstacles and continue to stand tall and proud of who you are!?!!!

When you make a choice and decide enough is enough, it freaking moves you! -
You are no longer held prisoner to thoughts that control your way of thinking. 
There is inevitable growth in that. You realize if you can go through that and come out of it, you are on a mission! -
You ask yourself, what else!? What else can I push through and become or give my best in!? You want to know how to apply this to the rest of your life!!

In the gym, when you hit that PR, you know there’s more where it came from! It’s the power to keep going.

When you go from being overweight to healthy, it pushes you. It drives you forward to be the best you. -
When you make a curriculum change, for the 7th time in a row because she struggles, only to watch her bloom. It is powerful! -

I know I have some friends who will be in Dewey, Rehoboth, Fenwick, and even OC this weekend. Well, if you have the time, I, along with my three teammates, will be competing at this event. My other two teammates aren’t on FB, but @heathermariereich and I have partnered up before as teammates and work very well together. Our workout times are 9:20, 11:30, and 1:45. We’re Team No Ka ‘Oi and competing in the 40+ age group. It’s been a crazy time recently with the transition of my kid’s going back to school, my hubby frequently OOT for work, and my new nurse role at the Orthopedic Clinic.  Thing is, is that I can only control so much!  I definitely can’t control everything that’s happening around me, but I CAN show up every day with consistency!

I tried the #rackpullchallenge today.  40 reps in 45 seconds.  My first attempt was at 185 lbs but I could quickly that wasn't happening.  I dropped to 165 lbs and knock out 42 reps. I needed a pick me up yesterday at lunch and decided to give this a go (I actually had all the ingredient 😮). My version of a healthy Guinness! Serge Francis maybe we’ll be using these glasses for smoothies instead of beer! 😉

But for us moms back to school means back to self care and sanity. 🧘🏻‍♀️ Get back into your routine w this quick hiit ab circuit that you can get done anywhere and in less than 5 minutes🙌🏼. Of course no workout would be complete without being interrupted by trusty pup, Easton. Finally had to throw the ball in the pool to get rid of him. 😂

Fellas, we can't only train "beach muscles" and ladies you can't keep focusing on having "toned arms". The Why? 
As I was doing my daily reading of The Compound Effect I came across this paragraph. It rings so true in so many aspects of our lives. 
I was asked recently how I lost my weight. I replied by saying I had to be in the right mindset. I had to be motivated. But really when I look back my “why” was I was tired of feeling sluggish and wanted to fit back into my pre-pregnancy pants. 
I wanted to feel good. My why! I remembered how it felt to not carry the extra weight and I wanted to be there again. I also saw a friend lose a lot of weight and told myself I can do this!! My why for Zyia is similar...
✔️I want more finacial freedom
✔️I want more for my family
✔️I want to help women & men feel good about themselves ✔️I want an amazing collection of active wear
✔️I want to be part of a community of like minded women who empower each other

What is your why?  I challenge you to write it down and focus on it. Amazing thing will happen once you zone in on it!  I know because it is happening to me. 😀

I can’t tell you how many times clients have told me “I skipped my workout because I just wasn’t motivated”. We are human and we aren’t always motivated 💯.

If you are going to wait to get motivated for every workout, you will never be consistent. TBH, I have had a rough few weeks and my motivation has been super low. That is when I have to dig deep, (sometimes really deep) to find dedication. Dedication is boring, it doesn’t feel as exciting as motivation but it will get you to at least show up. On days when you don’t feel motivated DEDICATE to just 20 minutes.
