Today I struggled to find any motivation and so fatigued. When it’s gallll week, I always feel physically blehhhh.

It is annoying especially when I love thrashing myself at the gym so I guess I just adapt but I always test myself a little too much. ✨
Even though it feels like the worst workout in the world and you’d rather be laying up in bed with a hot water bottle. Exercise during this time is supposed to improve sleep and boost your metabolism. I feel so bloated this morning but after working out it actually helps so much

I'm really working on shifting all my fears to positives and visualizing how I'm going to react when I get to the lake swim, the double sandbag (pretty sure we can count on that one) and being excited rather than fearful at many of the obstacles. In the past it would have been so easy to quit. If you’re anything like me, it’s easy to get excited about something at first, and you jump all in- and then reality sets in. 100 workouts? I’m just so busy.. I’d have to wake up at 5am to fit it in? I don’t know anymore... and taking a day off turns into 2, and 3, and then before you know it 100 days has passed but you only did 6 workouts.

When I tell you that this was damn delicious! 
Grilled portabello mushroom soaked in apple cider vinegar and topped with chopped onions and garlic, crushed cherry tomatoes, and thyme.

Grilled eggplant brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with parsley.

Grilled chicken marinated in cayenne pepper, thyme, lemon juice, smoked paprika, garlic, cloves, nutmeg and scotch bonnet peppa. 
Obviously everything was salted to taste.

Can't take @773najfi seriously when he asks me to produce a video like this 😂. Really happy with how the colors turned out in this one. It was my first time diving into s-log footage and the finished product is well worth the extra time spent color correcting and color grading 😍. Not where I want to be yet but I starting is the most important step. The image is crispy 👌🏼 📷@markayala_

SQUAT TO UPRIGHT ROW SUPERSET:

This combo compliments each other working the upper body needed to do the Squats.
Squats are Simply one of the best essential exercises. You don’t need to get fancy or change something if it does it’s job.  Just some important cues to note for beginners:
.
*Position yourself so you can keep torso upright without excessive forward lean. As you naturally bend at knees into then your hips to squat, your upper body will compensate and lean forward. That’s fine. But if you pass 45 degree lean then gone too far.
.
* Bar is placed on upper back / trapezius muscle NOT ON NECK.
.
* Think of pulling bar apart and elbows back to engage the lat muscles( muscles around shoulder blades)
.
* Starting with knee bend, shift weight to hips and butt.
.
* Safest to go to a 90 degree bend of knees where thigh is parallel to floor.
.
* Descend at safe tempo of 4 count hold and drive 2 count up THROUGH the Heels!
.
*Follow through with glute/ butt squeeze, hips don’t have to drive all the way forward.
.
Try sets 3-4, increasing 5lbs at a time 
10-12 reps
.
