First for my new followers, a bit of a recap for this post:
I have been having unexplained heart issues as of late and have ended up in the ER twice from low heart rate, chest pains, shortness of breath, dizziness, ect. They couldn't figure out why I was having these symptoms so I was put on no exercise orders until further notice.. well it's been about a month or a little more now that I haven't been able to go to the gym at all... but today I am so excited because I have been cleared for exercise by the cardiologist 🎉🎉 it's been way too long and I am so ready to crush these goals 👊🏻💥 So if anyone needs me I'll be at the gym tonight... and tomorrow, 
and the next day, 
and the next day,
and well you get the drill 😉

Post workout recovery is the best opportunity for supplements over whole foods. .

❗️Es fundamental que eduques con el ejemplo: cuando ven a los padres comer cosas diferentes y disfrutando de su comida quieren probar.
❗️Dales alimentos nuevos, de a uno por vez. Si no lo aceptan la primera vez, espera unos días para volver a ofrecerles los alimentos que rechazaron y hacerlos en pequeñas cantidades, junto con alimentos que si le gusten. Como por ejemplo puré de papa y zanahoria, en vez de zanahoria solo, o con bróculi y calabaza

❗️Procura usar poca sal en las comidas.
❗️Intenta que la alimentación sea lo mas natural posible, evitando los alimentos procesados e industrializados.
❗️Y sobre todo paciencia, es normal que al principio rechacen todos los alimentos. La constancia y una buena educación en alimentación son muy importantes para llevar una dieta equilibrada en cualquier etapa de la vida

I hear a lot of people saying that they don’t do certain exercises — often compound exercises like squats — because they cause them pain. Squats might hurt their knees, deadlifts might hurt their back, etc.

I totally understand the inclination to avoid an exercise that’s causing you pain. After all, that’s a signal from your body that’s something’s not right. In some cases, it might be necessary to avoid an exercise altogether. Often, though, you can get to a point where you can do that exercise without pain if you take the time to figure out why it’s hurting you and get to the root of the issue.

If you just skip squats altogether because they hurt your knees, you’re kind of just putting a band aid on the problem. You’re not figuring out why your knees hurt when you squat. It might not be the squat, but the way you do the squat, or the amount of weight you’re using. Or, it could be an issue with your ankle or hip mobility that’s causing your pain.

If you skip squats, you might avoid pain, but your limited mobility and/or poor form will likely catch up to you after a while.

Instead of staying away from them altogether, it might be a better idea to work with a personal trainer or a physical therapist and get to the bottom of the problem. Then, eventually, you’ll get to a point where you can squat without pain!

I hear a lot of people saying that they don’t do certain exercises — often compound exercises like squats — because they cause them pain. Squats might hurt their knees, deadlifts might hurt their back, etc.

I totally understand the inclination to avoid an exercise that’s causing you pain. After all, that’s a signal from your body that’s something’s not right. In some cases, it might be necessary to avoid an exercise altogether. Often, though, you can get to a point where you can do that exercise without pain if you take the time to figure out why it’s hurting you and get to the root of the issue.

If you just skip squats altogether because they hurt your knees, you’re kind of just putting a band aid on the problem. You’re not figuring out why your knees hurt when you squat. It might not be the squat, but the way you do the squat, or the amount of weight you’re using. Or, it could be an issue with your ankle or hip mobility that’s causing your pain.

If you skip squats, you might avoid pain, but your limited mobility and/or poor form will likely catch up to you after a while.

Instead of staying away from them altogether, it might be a better idea to work with a personal trainer or a physical therapist and get to the bottom of the problem. Then, eventually, you’ll get to a point where you can squat without pain!

Had to post this #transformationtuesday photo due to recent reflection at my cousin's wedding. I haven't seen some of my family in more than a year, more specifically the photo on the right. On the day of the wedding, I got a lot of comments about how much I've changed and become almost unrecognisable. Moments like that really motivate me to keep going in my fitness journey and encourage me to become the best version of myself possible 💪 #milestonestrength #istraining

So, after a discussion with a client last night, I had a bit of a "wait a minute" moment.

Moderation.

Everyone knows that's what I bang on about.
Training, nutrition, life.... BUT... And this was the "wait a minute...."
Moderation needs to be consistent.

If you live the Monday to Friday moderately (ie, still enjoying the odd treat etc) & then have a blow out of a weekend, thats then not moderate.
And your hard work during the week is wasted.

I'll use myself as an example. (& only because this is what I do)
I live Monday to Friday afternoon STRICTLY because I like to have a bit of a weekend blow out.
I usually have a takeaway or 2 between Friday & Sunday night but keep the rest of my food (breakfast/lunch) pretty good.
My other calories obviously come from beer!😂 And this gives me results.
Just something to have a think about....
