Who said fruit makes us fat?⁣ Who said we can’t eat past 8pm?⁣ Who said we have to do cardio to lose weight?⁣ Who said we have to get 10,000 steps a day or we’re lazy?⁣ Who said we can only eat 4 crackers per serving?⁣ Who said we should skip breakfast?⁣ Who said our body is a bank account?⁣ Who said we should have better willpower?⁣ Who said it’s all calories in, calories out?⁣ Who said we have to earn our meals?⁣ Who said we can only have 1 square of dark chocolate?⁣ .
⁣And says, “WHO”? And why do you trust that person/source?? What do YOU think?⁣ ⁣ .
I call this DIET CULTURE NOISE. ⁣ ⁣

Every single day we are inundated with these messages. Constant yes’s and no’s, rules and restrictions. .
Hellooo? Isn’t this exhausting? Do you ever feel like you’re doing ANYTHING right? .
Something these things all have in common:

They are black and white, simplistic, and most important do not take into account bio individuality. We are ALL different. Different bodies, minds, lifestyle, sleep, stress, past/present relationships with food and our bodies, environments, personalities and MORE. .
The more you follow this ridiculous nonsenseeee that dictates us and our relationship with food and our bodies, the more you strip away your own intuition. .
Intuition is like a compass, guiding you through each day. Taking your health, wellness and mindset into consideration (not black and white rules). It allows you to take care of yourself vs. punish yourself. Because each day is different. Life is full of up and downs. And the only constant is CHANGE. ⁣ ⁣ .

Did a quick leg circuit with my man @jalen902 / @survival_fitness_ 
Did some trap bar deadlifts ( great for killing the legs ) then some box jumps to work on explosiveness then finished it off with weighted walking lunges! Possibly the proudest squat session ever! 8 sets of 8 progressive overload barbell squats and this is set 8 at the heaviest level: 135lbs. I felt the last rep was a bit off, so did an extra rep to fix it. Loving this 8x8 workout so far and this Mark's the end of week 2 of 8 weeks!
