Heute gibt es bei mir zum Frühstück Quark mit Zwetschgen und einem orangenen Balisto 😍
Habe die jetzt einzeln verpackt im Supermarkt gefunden und finde das ja mal richtig praktisch😍 Beim Doppelpack kann ich mich nämlich nie zusammenreißen und nur das eine essen (aber ganz ehrlich - wer isst denn da bitteschön nur eins 😂) und so klappt das echt gut ☺️ Von den Kalorien geht das auch total klar, 92kcal pro Stück 😏

Let’s be honest the only bar I get to go to now is the salad bar. 🥗

This week I’m enjoying a loaf of homemade Buckwheat & Chia bread, recipe from @teresacutter_healthychef.
.
I love the quinoa bread but this Buckwheat bread turns out more bread like & holds together very well. So much so that it can easily be toasted in the toaster.
.
Lunch today was a green smoothie together with a couple of slices of this delicious bread, toasted & topped with avocado & saurkraut @kehoeskitchen.
.
Here’s the recipe:
1 3/4 cups whole raw buckwheat 
1/4 cup) whole chia seed
1 cup water (use half to soak chia seeds and the other half to combine in the food processor or blender)
¼ cup olive oil (i used applesauce for oil free)
1 1/2 teaspoons gluten free baking powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
METHOD
Preheat oven to 160°C (fan-forced).
Soak buckwheat in plenty of cold water for 2 hours until softened.
Soak chia seed in 1/2 cup cold water until gel like – this takes about 30 minutes.
Drain the buckwheat and rinse through a fine sieve. Make sure all the water is fully drained.
Place the buckwheat into a food processor.
Add chia gel, 1/2 cup of water, olive oil/applesauce, baking powder and sea salt.
Mix in a food processor for 3 minutes. The bread mix should resemble a batter consistency with some whole buckwheat still left in the mix.
Spoon into a loaf tin lined with baking paper on all sides and the base.
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes until firm to touch and bounces back when pressed with your fingers.
Remove from the oven and cool for approx. 30 minutes. Remove from the tin and cool completely on a rack or board. The bread should be slightly moist in the middle and crisp on the outside.
Cool completely before eating.

2 tbs coconut flour
1 egg
1/4 c honey
1/4 c avocado oil (can sub melted coconut oil)
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp pink salt
1/4 c almond milk (can sub any milk or milk sub)
Desired amount of chocolate chips
Mix together egg, honey, oil, vanilla, salt, and almond milk. Add almond and coconut flour and mix. Mix well. Dough will be more on the "sticky" side, If if it seems too sticky, add extra almond flour. Incorporate chop chips. Place in fridge for 20 min. Form into balls and w avocado oiled hands. Press flat. Bake at 350 for 11-13 min. Let cool. Cookies will look and feel slightly “doughy.”

Everyone loves Chipotle right? It’s the perfect post workout meal & is incredibly flavorful. But the portions can be a bit large and the price a touch high. .
On the right is my attempt at a Chicken Burrito Bowl. The nice thing about creating the bowls yourself is that you can customize it anyway you like. I have 2-3x the chicken in my homemade bowl for far less than it would cost to add extra at the restaurant. I also prefer more vegetables and less rice which is an easy sub to account for. Everyone loves Chipotle right? It’s the perfect post workout meal & is incredibly flavorful. But the portions can be a bit large and the price a touch high. .
On the right is my attempt at a Chicken Burrito Bowl. The nice thing about creating the bowls yourself is that you can customize it anyway you like. I have 2-3x the chicken in my homemade bowl for far less than it would cost to add extra at the restaurant. I also prefer more vegetables and less rice which is an easy sub to account for. Day two done. My husband and I woke up at 5:30am to exercise together. I'm not a morning person, but it's a way easier time to fit it in. I might start posting what I had for dinner to stay accountable. I usually eat the same thing for lunch and breakfast so dinner is the only variable. In addition to my newfound enthusiasm for going to the gym, I am also being far more conscious of what I eat. I’m trying to be a good girl and follow my dietician’s (@eatmenutrition) advice by having half my plate be vegetables. Despite a lack of creativity around how to cook these vegetables, I am finding this aspect of my new lifestyle quite rewarding. I am trying new things, like cauliflower rice, and revisiting old friends, like silverbeet sautéed in a dash of olive oil with garlic and a drizzle of soy sauce. But less pleasing is my crappy stove 😔 Cooking in my kitchen is a real chore (especially compared to the incredible new @smegaustralia kitchen we put in our old house). The burners are unsteady with their heat, often heating things too quickly despite being turned low, and they’re too cramped together, making it impossible to cook with multiple large pans at once. A new @smegaustralia stove and a semi-redesigned kitchen is on the horizon but until then, I will suffer through. Yes, first world problem, I know. But the oil burns I received last night thanks to my crappy stove over-heating my pan certainly were impressive 😔 #2019goals #jfdi #healthyeating #smeg #cooking #vegetables

i felt super unspired and kind of “blah”  today so went back to the basics for dinner: chicken with @schultzsgourmet carolina bbq, broccoli with salt and a drizzle of balsamic, and a russet potato with salt and ghee. 🤷🏼‍♀️ now I’m watching bachelor in paradise, probs going to pour another glass of wine + eat some ice cream, and go to sleep early with the hopes of a better day tomorrow 🙏🏻🙌🏻 #butmostlyeating

Finally went grocery shopping today cause we had zero food! Check my stories for my haul! Drew wanted Mac & cheese so the boys ate that and broccoli while I made a quick salad for myself. Organic romaine, broccoli slaw mix, feta, carrots, figs, leftover @applegate organic grass fed beef hot dog, balsamic, and avocado oil. Worked today so I so welcomed this quick dinner! But then again when do I not make quick dinners 🤷🏻‍♀️ #momlife Who else loves a quick and easy healthy dinner?? 🙋🏻‍♀️
