Day 9 of my 60 day raw food challenge and all is well and good.  For breakfast this morning I had a coconut, banana and almond butter overnight smoothie. Not only was it delicious but it was quite filling and so I’m pretty much set up for the day. 😊

GF freshly baked bread from @macknade with free range organic eggs mixed with a little soya milk, salt & pepper. Plus my take on fresh tomato beans! 😍 a couple of tablespoons of low sugar @heinz beans and a large handful of freshly chopped tomatoes, cook off in a pan with a little pepper and serve! 👌🏼

Take time to appreciate the love and value that dogs bring to our daily lives, and to do your bit for homeless and abused dogs the world over. From keeping us safe working for the emergency services to supporting people who are blind, deaf or disabled, dogs do a lot for us humans, and this is an opportunity to give something back

Dogs are beneficial to individuals that are suffering from severe mental health disorders. They are companion animals that provide therapeutic support, unconditional love, and comfort to those in need. Mental health disorders include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, bipolar disorder, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other emotional conditions that cause severe symptoms to the point that it disables individuals

[Lime Cauliflower Rice with Chicken]
Finally I got the chance to do that famous keto rice recipe, using cauliflower as a substitute for real rice. It is so simple to make and tastes much better than I imagine: crunchy and sweet and sour 😍😍.

Recipe (for 1 person)
Chicken 
Soy sauce, hot sauce, and a tiny bit of lime juice
Half a cauliflower 
2 tbsp of broth (pork or chicken both works fine)
Oil
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp lime juice for the rice

1, As usual, marinate the chicken since the day before then fry/stir fry them them. Add some extra hot sauce because why not 🤣
2, Take the chicken out, but leave the oil for the cauliflower.
3, Cauliflower: if you have a food processor, use it, if not, just use your knife to chop them into really small pieces. It’s easier than you think. 
4, Stir fry the cauliflower in that same pan that you used to fry your chicken. Add in the broth so it wont burn. Just keep the heat medium low until your rice is cooked and all the excess water evaporates. Dont forget to season your rice!
5, After the cauliflower is done, turn off the heat. Now it’s time to mix it your lime juice. You don’t want to put it in too early or it will be bitter. 
6, Pour the rice into a bowl and place your yummy chicken on top! There you have it. So quick and easy. .

⏳ Transformation Monday
So I just found this video (screenshot of it) of me from 2 years ago and I am completely shocked.  This is hard for me to post as I honestly do not remember looking like this.  This was a harder time in my life, junior year of high school was rough because 1. it was hard 2. I had started going to a new school.  In this time, I loved to do homework at Starbucks and get a huge frappuccino everytime and a bagel with cream cheese.  I would do cardio for an hour once or twice a week and that was it.  I wasn’t happy with my body or the way I felt physically. 
Fast forward two years!  I’ve found my true passion: weight lifting.  I’ve been lifting for almost 15 months now and am not turning back!  I now lift 5-6x a week, and do HIIT cardio here and there.  I am in love with my body and the way I feel physically and mentally.  I now watch what I eat, I do eat what I want, but in moderation.  This is around a 25-30 pound difference, but the difference you can’t see is how much stronger I am mentally! 
I also got a fitbit right around the time the left photo is from, so the second photo is a graph of my weight trend over the past two years!

Hope this can help anybody who is struggling to start their journey.  It’s never too late, start right now!

So I just found this video (screenshot of it) of me from 2 years ago and I am completely shocked. This is hard for me to post as I honestly do not remember looking like this. WOW! Look at me now. This has not been an easy journey. The girl on the left was depressed, overweight, an emotional wreck, a closet eater, stressed to the max and the list goes on. I am 5ft and in that picture I am over 200lbs. I looked at myself every day and didn't see a fat girl, I saw I sad miserable human being who was unhealthy and tired. I was so done with diets. I knew it was time for a change. A long term change that would bring about a total overhaul in my life. A friend had reached out to me and I told her that I needed time to think about things.

Well needless to say nothing changed. More things started to go down a negative path and when she reached out again I knew then it was now or never. I accepted her lifeline and she became my health coach. She encouraged me and challenged me. As I began to see my results I could not stop talking about it. It was now time to pay it forward. So I decided to become a Health Coach. I want to be that helping hand to someone else who needs that opportunity to get out of the darkness they are feeling. No one is alone in this journey. There is an entire community of inspiring people who uplift and challenge you daily 
The girl on the right is has a vision. She is crushing her goals. She is happy, confident and living her happiest and healthiest days. She is now wearing sizes that she wore in high school. Toujours envie de manger plus de sucre ? 🍰🍭🍧🍦🥂🍫🍩 Le sucre appelle le sucre et ça se passe dans vos intestins.

En mangeant, on nourrit nos bactéries intestinales(flore intestinale ou microbiote) et en mangeant du sucre on nourrit les mauvaises.

Et plus on les nourrit, plus leur population augmente et plus il faut les nourrir avec du sucre et plus on mange de sucre! 
Oulala tout ce sucre!

Les conséquences de ce déséquilibre de la flore intestinale amène à :

1. Envie de manger plus de sucre

2. Augmenter la sensibilité de nos récepteurs gustatifs au sucre.

3. Augmenter l’insuline dans le sang pour stocker le sucre dans les muscles et le transformer en graisse et prendre du poids. 
4. Libérer de la ghreline qui est l’hormone de la stimulation de l’appétit. Par conséquent on a envie de manger encore plus.

Si vous éliminer un maximum le sucre (glucose) de votre alimentation, vous réduirez votre envie incontrôlée de sucre.

Arrêter le sucre est une sorte de sevrage. Ne désespérez pas!

Cela peut prendre plus que 3-4 semaines!

Il est préférable de manger des fruits, des légumes et des oléagineux qui vont nourrir vos bonnes bactéries intestinales et ainsi diminuer les envies de sucre.🥥🍓🍇🍐🍎🥬🥑🥦🥕 Nourrissez vos bonnes bactéries et gardez votre flore intestinale, microbiote en bonne santé et vous aurez moins d’envies!

Ho passato gran parte della mia vita a sentirmi inadeguata. A compararmi con le altre ragazze, più alte, più magre, più belle, più brillanti. Ho passato gran parte della mia vita a odiare il mio corpo, a maltrattarlo perché non era come volevo io. A sentirmi sempre un gradino sotto gli altri.

Il fitness mi ha insegnato a superare i miei limiti. Mi ha insegnato ad essere forte, a non mollare, che i risultati arrivano. Il fitness mi permette di sfogarmi dopo una brutta giornata di lavoro, di prendermi cura di me stessa in una settimana impegnativa.
Non dev’essere un’ossessione, ma una cura, una passione, una gioia.

Io ho scelto di amarmi. Ogni giorno, anche con qualche chilo in più, anche con la cellulite e le smagliature, anche se i miei glutei non sono perfettamente tondi, anche se non ho un seno prosperoso e gli addominali in vista. Ho scelto di amare il mio corpo perché mi permette di camminare, di correre, mi permette di farmi un bagno al mare. Lo amo perché mi permette di VIVERE. Vivere la mia vita in pieno, perché io sono più delle calorie che mangio, delle calorie che brucio. •
Mangiate sano perché volete bene a voi stesse e al vostro corpo, non solo per perdere quei chiletti in più. Allenatevi perché vi fa stare bene, non fatelo diventare uno stress altrimenti sarà un incubo 🙈
E vedrete che i risultati, con calma e senza fretta, arriveranno.
