A little less than a year ago, I (semi-begrudgingly) did my first newborn session. “I just don’t want to be a newborn photographer,” I told my husband. But it was for a family friend and I wanted to help out. I complained for days leading up to the session, so when I got home afterwards, Cody jokingly asked me how it went. Much to his (and my) surprise, I blurted out “I LOVED it!” Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I’d love this little side hustle so much, especially spending hours in someone’s home capturing their new, tiny humans and growing families. But some time and a lot of practice later, I’ve come to adore swaddling these sweet babies and capturing their mommy and daddy snuggles. This newborn phase is so precious and fleeting, and I’m so honored by everyone who trusts me to document it for them.
