Back in the saddle with the #metcon work!  I’m glad @jillfit’s 7-day #physiqueweek challenge started the week before school starts. I admit, I’ve been dragging and feeling uninspired with my own workouts.

Today’s workout was so fun: 400m run, 21-18-15-9-6-3 of renegade rows (each side), bent-over rows and push presses, 400m run.  Finished in 16:10 using only 12.5 pound weights (which sounds super light, but was the perfect weight for me today). Total time on the gym floor: 25 minutes.  Started and ended with working on my @birthfit diaphragm breathing. Love workout efficiently! 👍👍🔥🔥

Hit a sweet 280lbs deadlift PR today.  Celebrated in silence cause it’s Globogym. 
A tip on the deadlift- it is both a pull and a push movement! 
How so?  Yes, you have to pull on the bar, but you ALSO have to push your heels into the ground at the same time.  Get tight on the bar, release the slack, and pull and push at the same time. 
Thinking about both the push, and the pull has significantly improved this lift for me. 
I would like to also add that I’ve added a lot of @bretcontreras1 ’s glute/leg exercises to my leg routine, which have not only improved the shape of my 🍑, but have created a much stronger, and more efficient lower body.  Go give him a follow!

It really gets easier with time AND your body will actually crave it! So it gets easier guys; just keep pushing! -
So on day 4 of the CanFitPro, I  decided to skip the closing ceremony to squeeze in a quick 30min KBsesh  at @goodlifefitness on Union (great place btw)!

Here’s what the workout looks like:
6 KB cleans
6 KB 
10 KB high pulls
10 double KB front squats
15 KB swings
5 Chin-ups
10 Box jumps
90 secs rest and repeat doing As Much Repetition As Possible (AMRAP) in 30mins.
This is great for when you have limited time and limited equipment.

The setup is 40 seconds on, 20 seconds rest. 
3 rounds. 
Wall balls
Alternating ball slams
Jumping ball slams
I have heard a lot of people say I’m working out hard and not seeing any change. Two things- how’s the diet and how’s the workout intensity. Someone could do these three movements for prescribed time and barely be breathing hard OR they could pick up the intensity and go as hard as they can for forty seconds of work and be ready to fall over. 
SO, my advice would be to dial in your nutrition and pick up your intensity during workouts.

I just wanted to say how insanely grateful I am to soooo many people for making this happen for/with me. The vision is something I’ve seen and held for so long and to see it becoming a reality is beyond words. 
Opening week was a crazy success and I couldn’t be happier with the direction that Vise Fit is headed. We had PR’s in metcons and strength already. How crazy is that?! Also had some amazing talks about nutrition and goals. So glad to see that the philosophy of all aspects of health is being recognized and is being considered by all. Exercise will only take us so far and then we’ll hit a wall.

I got a strict ring muscle up a month or so back and have done it less than 5 times since... the last couple weeks I just haven’t been able to get them. Spending triple the time programmed attempting them and just getting more and more frustrated🤯
It’s so much more frustrating not being able to do something you could do a month ago, than never having done it before and trying to get it for the first time!!

Today I had 5 minutes to try and get 3 single RMU... well shock, I couldn’t even get one! 5 more minutes, nope, 5 more, nope, 20 more minutes, nope and the same happened last week🙄 BUT then I went for a wee and obviously that loss in weight made all the difference😂 —> got 1 and then tried again and failed but I don’t care. I got one! I can still do them! I haven’t lost them completely 😄

Also got my 8 sets 3 pull ups with 10kg which was 💩 last week but managed the week before. That just shows, you don’t lose all your strength in a week😅 it’s just fatigue.

Now the goal is to make these consistent !!✅
