EOTD8: Spinal Articulations are my fav. Start by lying flat, feet/knees hips width apart. Push up through your heels, engaging your core & lifting your butt. Then, very slowly, roll back down one vertebrae at a time. Upper back is easier to control but you’ll find that your bit wants to come down before your lower back. What you’ll see me doing is taking the time to make sure I’m pulling my belly button down towards the floor & rocking my hips back towards me ensuring my lower back comes down before my butt does.

Pull ups are so much harder than chin ups and that’s why I’m doing negatives here. Negative pullups take about 20 percent of your body weight away during the downward motion, compared to the upward motion. This little bundle was so timid when we collected her and her mum from the cat shelter. They were 6 and 13 years old and had been given up by their family.  Coco spent the whole of the first day pressed into the furthest corner of the room. She has been slowly gaining confidence and now will tuck in next to me and purr her little head off. In the past few weeks she has even sat very briefly on my lap!

✨Here’s another daily practice for my feet as they always need lots of care and love - ✨I’m here working on my alignment of the talus bone - as I have very mobile feet and ankles this is a fantastic exercise to do - I’m busy imaging the talus whilst I work through the band - this is not your standard band exercise as with the dynamic imagery of the talus, the knee, the hip I’m busy aligning my legs for their daily work!
✨Followed by the fast foot warm up and then some proprioceptive work on the balls balancing in a dynamic way 💫
✨Afterwards my feet feel fantastic and I feel like in walking on air whilst my talus is surfing the waves 🌊
✨Happy feet! 💖

The value of change.
So often we get caught up in finding solutions in the same place and trying to work deeper and understand better what we practice. And while that is such an important life skill and value within itself life isn't meant to be as such always. We are supposed to experience change and discomfort. What affects the experience is simply our attitude and we all know that can be the hardest workout of all some days. 
Been working on finding those adductors in the same place and same classes and same routine. Today I got on the elliptical for the first time in a year (the day before I gave birth to Noam 💪🏽) as opposed to swimming, jogging, or hit for some cardio . And after 15 minutes of focusing on breath work, alignment, centering my right thigh adductor started to scream (a good scream :) .. Which makes so much sense since my right piriformis and  hip  joints have been giving me a hard time this last year. But I don't give up (good old hard work disicpline from ballet days💕🙏🏻)
Loving the lessons and reminders each time I move.

Bro I can do 1,000 reverse crunches and they are easy...really? You're probably just working your hips and lower back because that would frickin burn!

If you're not getting that deep burn in your stomach when you're doing these, check that your doing this one thing.

Keep your lower back flat on the floor!
--
You shouldn't be able to slide your hand under there other wise its just pure a hip flexor exercise.
--
If you're letting rib cage flare and arch your lower back, your abs are lengthened and cant contract.
--
Keeping your back on the floor keep them in a position where they can actually flex and do the work.

The same goes for all ab exercises. Dont ocer arch that lower back!

And if an attack happens, if my demons come out, then I want someone to still love me when it's over. And that's okay to ask for and have faith in, even if the person I want to stay doesn't actually stay. I can let myself want that and experience that love, still have confidence in myself that I am a safe place. And once the attack is over, or the relationship is over, there's still gonna be love there. Even from another source or just myself. I dont have to be afraid of opening up to someone.
