Spirituality increases your awareness. It helps you shift between witnessing your thoughts and feelings from an outside perspective and living directly in and experiencing them. Spirituality can also help guide you in the right direction. ❗️BUT❗️You cannot meditate, crystal therapy, or ‘positive affirmation’ your way through years of repressed childhood trauma. Your spiritual practice helps you recognize your negative thoughts and behaviors, it will even lead you to the path of healing, but it won’t do the work for you. No amount of balancing your chakras will help you understand why your workaholic mother wasn’t emotionally available for you in your youth. You must understand and work through that yourself. Your spirit guides will be with you to comfort you.
