Playing soccer since the age of 3 will do that to your quads. And now, as a bodybuilder, the hardest part is losing some of that muscle mass in my lower body. I’ve gotten consistent feedback from judges about not wanting to see striations in my quads at the bikini level, which is exactly what happens as I get leaner.

People always ask “how much can you squat” and the truth is... I don’t really know. You will never see me squatting more than 95lbs in the gym. I do that so I don’t add any more size to my legs. Instead, I do high volume with light weight or focus on isometrics and eccentric movements.

The cambered bar is one of the best bars I've ever used. It has a very slight camber or curve to it, much like a cheap barbell would if loaded up with an enormous amount of weight and left sitting in a power rack (gym owners love that). The main advantage of the cambered bar is that it takes stress off the shoulders when performing squats. Your hands rest lower on the cambered bar than they normally would on a straight bar, thus making it ideal for people with injured shoulders or poor flexibility.

While many specialty bars have this advantage, the cambered bar is the only one that allows you to squat with the same technique and setup as with a normal bar. In other words, a squat done with a cambered bar is the same as one done with a straight bar.

This makes it great to train with for entire meet cycles, relieving shoulder stress and allowing lifters to train their bench press effectively. For this reason the cambered bar is a tremendous resource for older lifters and anyone with well-worn shoulders #squats #camberbar #strongman

Each day is an opportunity to learn, develop, and get better. While Coop and I work on some stuff we are taking the opportunity to track some data about our lifting. 
Using the @flex.stronger tool (beta testing) we have been able to look at mean velocity, power outputs, and interestingly our height of our lifts.
It’s been fun, interesting, and odd all at the same time and I look forward to not only learning more about her lifting but also how to implement into @4starstrength training as we have also tested some front squatting, jerks, front and back squats, and deadlifts as well with members in the gym🤙

Another max day down. Hit squats lastnight with @_jparks_30 and @j_rizzle72. Worked up to a clean 550# squat and called it there even though I have plenty in the tank. Like I said last night, December is the ultimate goal, not an training max for percentages. A 75# PR in 6 1/2 weeks is scary tho 👀👀
