As you can see here, there is nothing linear about weight loss. I have been tracking this journey since 2015 and it pretty much looks like a rollercoaster ride.
There are always going to be set backs that are out of your control. The only thing you can control, is how you respond to that set back.
About a year ago I was about 10 pounds less than what I am now. What that story doesn’t tell is that I was also traveling a lot for work, only doing cardio, and changed up my diet to intermediate fasting, consuming only about 1500 calories a day.
Although I looked great and lean, I didn’t feel strong and lacked energy. I had been starving my body
Over the next 6 months I gained about 17 pounds, getting up to 204 lbs. How did I get here? Probably through a mix of different things such as changing up my diet, working long hours, and stress.
Today I am sitting right around the 200 lbs mark, but feel good. I feel like I have been losing weight at a healthy pace and have also been able to keep my energy and strength.
There is still more weight to be loss, but this isn’t going to happen overnight. It might take weeks, months, or even longer.
I wanted to share my story once cause you are going through the same scenario. But don’t get discourage. I have been on this journey for a long time, with a lot of ups and downs. But I still stay determined and motivated to get to where I wanna be!
I really wanted to start this blog back up again so you can see how this isn’t an easy journey, but also know you aren’t the only one on it.
